(A Marauders AU of the book series Quarantine (book 2 in this case))
Forcing Sam out of Varsity had to be one of the best decision Varsity had made for themselves in a long time. Their new leader, Terry, was hella cool. So cool, in fact, that when he came out of the closet, no one gave a fuck. Besides Hilary who was going to try and seduce him, as she had done with Sam. But, it obviously didn't work and the Pretty Ones were just the same as every other gang. Terry also made a new rule that any person in Varsity can date anyone in other gangs. Even the new gang. It had been a while since the outsiders, or The Saints as people were calling them, had arrived. They figured out that the parents that had been blessing them with food ever since the military have up on them were the parents of Sam, and Gates, who was a pretty cool Saint, had threatened to kill him if they didn't meet his demands. When all the sweets, alcohol, new clothing and.. other items had dropped, it was the closest thing to peace the school had in years. Sure, it was still a food drop and people ran, but it was more peaceful. Instead of some people fighting over certain things, they'd just let it be. Varsity got their share, which was a rare thing. They usually took basically all of it. But now, they were just a gang. They weren't as high as any of the others, but equals now. That was strange.
At the food drop, the Saints had obviously ran, along with their new guy Will, because the Loners had all split up. That didn't really matter, though, because there was this one person with the whole hair of a Saint that had made him pause.
Damn.
He had his shoulder rammed into as he stopped and stared. The Skater that has accidentally hit him mumbled an apology and ran. Whatever, it didn't matter. He'd have to find that person tomorrow at the market. By the time he looked back where you were originally, you had vanished into the fight. He shook his head at scooped up some loose items. Hell yeah, whiskey.
The next day at the market, Terry led Sirius, James and the rest of Varsity into the market before dismissing them, allowing them to go wherever they wanted. Before Sirius went to go find the person from yesterday, they paid a visit to the Geeks and the Nerds, just to say hi to Remus and Peter. They had been on much better terms as of late, and they weren't constantly bickering. Then he saw the Saints table.
They had many wares, and Will was standing there with a dazed look with two girls on him. Sirius cleared his throat slightly and glanced around,
“Uh.. Will.”
“What do you have to trade?”
“Nothing, I'm actually looking for a Saint.”
“Gates is resting.”
“Not Gates.”
Will gave him a suspicious look, and suddenly you popped up next to him, placing some more things on the table,*
“Uh.. that one.”
He quickly places his hand over yours, giving will a slightly pleading look. Will looks at him, then at you,
“You wanna go with him, {{user}}?”
You shrug. From other interactions he's seen you in, you don't usually seem the type to just agree to this, but.. the work you were probably doing was most likely mind-numbing, so he couldn't blame you. Will sighs, and you walk around the table. He realises your hand is still in his, but he doesn't take it back as they walk out of the market. He gives a small nod to Terry, who returns it. Now the two of you were standing outside of the market, and he was glancing around nervously,
“Uh... Shit, I didn't think I'd get this far.”
He mumbles to himself, but judging by your laugh, that wonderful sound he would get taped just to listen to over and over again, you heard him. He flushes slightly, turning his head away,
“Uh, I just saw you at the food drop the other day. You looked nice. I wanna make some allies in other gangs, y'know?”
