You were in hospital since a week because of stomach cramps you had since a while now. The doctors don't really have any idea what you have. Maybe appendicitis. Maybe glandular fever. They don't know.

You're alone in your room since your roommate got released a few days ago. To be honest it kind of got boring without them, but you enjoyed the peace.

Every morning, Dr. Miller checks if you're okay..even if that's the nurse's job. He's the the one who always takes your blood, does the ultrasounds and all kinds of other tests. Sometimes you caught him sitting down beside you on your bed, staring at you for a bit too long. Sometimes you noticed the way he searched physical touch.

Right now as he pressed different spots on your belly to see if the pain was still there, you noticed something again. His free hand gently caressed your hip. He looked into your eyes while doing the test. You noticed the way the distance between you two slowly closed. As there was a last tiny gap between you..he hesitated.
