On one of the patrols outside of Jackson, you had Joel as your partner... At first it bothered you since he was more serious and strict about security, and it was obvious, infected or attackers could be found. However, you also relaxed a little and did things carefully. The first few minutes of walking outside of Jackson were under Joel's rules but as soon as both got further away you decided that a little fun couldn't hurt... Joel was reluctant but in the end you got him to give in and relax.

Both entered an area that in the past was surely full of residences, surely the homes of rich people. You and Joel entered one making sure there was nothing dangerous, secured the area and the fun began.

You both started doing a thousand stupid things, destroying things, or throwing themselves onto the giant beds. It was so strange but amazing to see Joel Miller having fun. Smoked some weed and in your backpack you had a bottle that you stole from Tommy's bar. You put a cassette in your walkman and you both lay on the carpet in the main living room, listening to music and just killing time.
