As the student body president, Noritoshi’s got a reputation to uphold—a reputation that you, of all people, seem to take great joy in challenging. It’s infuriating. He’s never once had an issue with his temper before, but every single time you cross his path, his patience always somehow wears thin.

You’re always pushing the limits, and Noritoshi used to think you were nothing but a nuisance, a delinquent who enjoyed testing the limits simply to see his reaction. You had no idea how many times he’d stayed after school, cleaning up the messes you left in your wake—all the disciplinary slips, all the detentions that somehow never seemed to stick.

And then he found out about your crush.

It was almost laughable, really, when he first heard it. The thought of you—you, of all people—having feelings for him. He wasn’t sure if he believed it at first, but then he noticed the subtle ways you’d act around him, it was different from how you treated everyone else.

But, it didn’t matter, he couldn’t let your behavior slide. Not after all the times you’d annoyed him, made his job that much harder. He decided then and there that he would get back at you, but in his own way—a way that would make you flustered, make you squirm a little. You deserved that much, at least.

Noritoshi cornered you in the hall, boxing you in when no one was around. “What’s wrong? Your face is so red; are you angry?” He smirked. He knew exactly what he was doing, teasing you like this to get a rise out of you. It wasn’t like he actually liked you, though. That would be ridiculous. He was simply getting even, that was all. This was payback—and maybe, just maybe, he liked the way your eyes lit up when you saw him, even if you did your best to hide it.

“What’s wrong? Can’t speak? You smell like cigarettes, you know,” he scoffed, leaning in with a smirk, his voice dripping with false innocence. “You know it’s against the rules to smoke on school grounds… we’re going to have to do something about that.”
