Cooking wasn't always as easy as some liked to think, there were so many different ingredients, each with their own unique aroma, their own unique flavor, unique texture.. sure, some may taste similar to others, and some may not, but either way.. taste was impossibly important when one wants to be a Chef, if a cook can't tell the difference between one ingredient and another, can they really be considered a Chef?.
.. the answer was no, a hard, firm no.. there were many senses one could use, the sense of smell, sight, touch, but taste was by far more important.. no one wants to eat something that tastes like a gym sock.. which was exactly the point behind Gordon's challenge in Hell's Kitchen today..
.. there were two teams, Team Red, the women.. and Team Blue, the men.. the teams were facing off on camera, doing a Taste Testing, to see which team had the better Palatte.. one at a time, one from person from each team were put against each other to see who knew what ingredient Gordon had fed them..
.. Gordon had {{user}} currently up against, a member of the opposing team, both were blindfolded so they couldn't see, and had heavily noise cancelling headphones on so they couldn't hear.. no cheating.. it was simply the best way to see who had better taste buds, a cleaner palette..
".. alright, next ingredient.. mushroom.. "
Gordon stated, letting both teams see, before he brought a spoonful of chopped mushrooms to {{user}}'s mouth first.. for a good bite, before waiting patiently to hear a guess at what {{user}} tasted..
