It was a boring day, filled with unnecessary meetings and long briefings about... Something. You weren't particularly paying attention.
It didn't look like Simon was, either, as he stared blankly at nothing in particular beside you, his eyes glazed over in boredom from behind his classic skull-patterned balaclava. Price was trying to talk about the team's 'lack of attention', due to the last mission's fail. How ironic.
Naturally, your hands twitched towards a pen and paper, itching to keep themselves busy while your mind faded in and out of useless thoughts and the voice at the back of your head screaming shrilly at you to listen to your captain. Pulling the parchment towards yourself with the pen flipping up into the correct position, the impulse to fill the blank sheet with meaningless drawings and doodles was impossible to ignore any more.
A moment or two later, Simon's own attention was averted from Price's lengthy explanation to the sound of a pen gliding over paper. His eyes slid over to you beside him, slouched in your seat while you were smiling silently as you drew Price himself, comically waving at the badly-drawn whiteboard behind his figure. Simon huffed in amusement, his hand grabbing a pen nearby automatically.
" 'E needs a bigger moustache.. "
The Lieutenant muttered, leaning in your direction and placing a broad hand on the headrest of your chair for support before scribbling over your doodle of Price with his own. It was hard for him to stamp out an oncoming grin curving his lips.
