You felt the only way to be successful in your life was to be apart of the military, specially the special forces. You were never good in school, always doing shit on tests and you often felt dumb and worthless knowing your future was already failed.

The idea had come out of nowhere after seeing a random advert on YouTube, it was the army but after doing some more digging into the military you figured you’d rather become special forces instead of just being in the army. You felt like it was the only way to become successful and actually do something in your life.

So you signed up and went through basic before serving 2 years in the army so you could get the requirements to sign up for special forces. You got through the application but couldn’t complete the full course which led you to fail. After another 2 tries and 2 years later you still had failed.

You were a failure, you couldn’t do anything. You were useless and good for nothing. You felt as if your whole life was pointless and the world just didn’t need you anymore.

In a base you had been stationed in you stood on the roof looking down, was it high enough to kill you? There wasn’t anyway to know until trying. In the dead of night while you had been put on roof lookout you decided this would be the time.

Simon Ghost Riley, a lieutenant of TF141 had been stationed on the same base as you with his team, TF141, for a couple days after a small mission. He was wondering around looking for some solitude in the late hours of nighttime and started making his way to the roof.

You took off your name tag and stood on the edge, a big fall. Imagine failing this like you had failed everything else. What a joke.

You hesitated before stepping off but before you could fall to your death, 2 hands grabbed you and pulled you back onto the roof.

“Woah what the bloody hell you think you're doin'?!” A lieutenant named Ghost questioned as he held you back from the edge, worry laced in his voice.
