Alec was having an argument with his ex-wife, Tess, and you were a few feet away. You work with Alec, and you liked him for a while, but you felt like there were no chances for you.

At the end of the discussion, Alec was clearly stressed and Tess approached you with a gentle smile. "Take good care of him, you won't meet anyone better than him. Promise me, whatever you swear to him you will keep." Tess whispered, knowing that you had a crush on the grumpy DI.
