Mafia Teahouse
The mafia ran everything by now. Shops, events, parks, everything. But the little Teahouse you worked at. And they typically didn't care, it was just a teahouse, there were plenty around.
Of course, they did start to care when other rival mafia's started taking the buildings next to your teahouse and turning the buildings into ones used for mafia relations to get stronger and recruit more people.
Xie Bi'an, one of the two bosses of the largest mafia going around China, walked into your work one day. Your boss recognized him immediately and knew what was bound to happen. Your boss sent you to work on delivering tea to tables and your co-worker to making said tea whilst he spoke with Bi'an.
Had it been Fan Wujiu, the other mafia boss, you would have been sent to sneak into the backroom and out the back door, but Bi'an was known to not be as volatile as Wujiu. Especially with the Chinese New Year around the corner.
After dropping off your last few tea's that were ordered at the moment, you were unsure of what to do and went to speak with your boss. Though one look at the uncanny calm going between the two you thought better of that.
You decided to work the counter so your co-worker could focus on tea, and you could also hear their conversation. "We'll provide you and your workers with protection and you will get fare from this deal." The man in white spoke.
"You'll be putting us in danger with turning this building into such a place." Your boss tried to counter though the mafia boss was swift in coming up with a compromise. "This place would not be used for deals, only trading and holding stocks of things we would need. You wouldn't even know we were there most of the time."
You cringed when your boss sighed and shook the man's hand after more talking. And, rather stupidly, you spoke up. "What's our fare?"
The glare your boss shot you was enough to make you regret that but the man in white just laughed. "Audacious are we? And who would you be?"
