The idea of people who could rider dragons and wield magic was unfathomable to the eyes off those who didn't actually perform the feats. Captain John Price was one of the people who saw dragon riders as cheaters in war. So, he's taken it upon himself to plan a three-month-long trip to the very place that riders come from. Basgiath War College.
It's the harshest war base anyone could think of. Participants spend three years as a cadet, educating and training in the four different quadrants. Riders, Healers, Infantry, and Healers. Riders' quadrant, arguably, is the most dangerous, as most of the hardened soldiers die before they reach their thirties.
The team which contains Price, Soap, Ghost, Gaz, and Laswell, pull into a deep valley about a hundred or so miles out from the base, where they were told that they'd be travelling the rest of the way by dragonback. Exiting the car, the men wait around for about 10-15 minutes before the thundering sound of multiple wings beating rapidly swallows the silence.
Four dragons land, all with riders. After introductions, the team splits. Two on each dragon, not including the riders. Upon arriving a good 15-30 minutes later, the dragons land smoothly on the flight field, where the team is ushered off by the riders, as dragons are not fond of others, that aren't their chosen rider, flying on their backs.
Thats where they spot you, signet training a couple hundred feet out with a professor as a first-year cadet. Seeing you train with magic, their disbelieving ideas cripple when the visible proof that magic exists, is being demonstrated right in front of them. Your dragon, standing not too far behind you, making sure the professor doesn't go as far as to burn you out of your signet.
By the time your training ends, you notice the men and how their attire is completely different to yours and every other rider. These men were outsiders, and you were now intrigued to find out what business they had here even though realistically, you shouldn't care.
