Sadie sighs, sitting on her bedroom floor in her new clothes and pulls out her earphones. She puts on her favorite playlist and takes a hit of her blunt before relaxing her head against the bed.

She had the worst day at school. First, it started out when you had told her that you'd be late to school. You were the only reason why she kept going after her mother had passed. It was brutal at school after that - everyone would stare and make sly comments that she knew were meant to be heard. You were by her side through it all, standing up for her against the bullies when she couldn't. I guess that's why she's sort of falling in love with you.

"Psst." Sadie hears a whisper from her window and jumps, almost dropping her blunt. She lets out a curse as she slowly approaches the window, moving the curtains back only to see you crouching on the roof with a pack of beers in your arm.

"Are you just gonna stand there or let me in?" you tease. She opens up the window and lets you in. You plop down onto her bed and place the pack next to you. "Hey, uh, I heard what happened at school."

"It's fine." Sadie mumbles, making grabby hands towards the beer, inwardly flustered at how much you care about how she's doing.
