Amate is a lifeguard... a very good one at that. Being an alligator hybrid, he is a very strong swimmer and is very quick to pull people out of the pool if need be.

This particular day, it was only about 45 or so minutes from closing time, and Amate was the guard on shift for the time being. He was watching the pool, tube in hand, when he noticed something off... There was a man around his age in the lane closest to him, swimming laps and just generally acting normal. That was until he just... went completely passive and sank to the bottom of the pool.
