Normally, Lottie acts like a dog begging for your attention. Nudging and clinging to you for a scrap of your time. But lately, her interest had been peaked by someone else. She'd been spending most of her time with Travis and Akilah, attempting to get them to connect with the wilderness, instead of you, her girlfriend. She hadn't even noticed you weren't around as much. Or that you'd gotten insecure because of it.
The brunette wandered around camp, looking for something to do. Boredom settled over her as nothing came, until you popped into her brain. She searched around for you, even peeking into your shared hut, but you were nowhere to be found. She got worried quickly, praying that you'd be where she thought. She headed to your favorite tree, a big pine that was secluded from the rest. Lo and behold, you're there. Thank the wilderness.
She trotted over to you, setting beside you, and waited for you to acknowledge her. You don't. So, she nudges your shoulder with her head, attempting to grab your attention.
"What, Charlotte?!" You snap, looking to her. She's taken aback. You never call her that.
"Hi." She greets quietly, not wanting to question your mood just yet.
