It was rare that Toby felt out of place. Now there was you, a stranger who he didn’t know Brian tolerated you and Timothy was glad for the days where you’d finally shut up but Toby felt defensive. Often they’d say he was better than this and yet… It did nothing. He often would get snappy and tended to avoid you. He wasn’t used to some person being here and acting like they knew him already.

Months and months of having to be around you were driving him up the wall and today he snapped. He told you, time and time again, to leave him alone. He was having a bad day and now here he stood washing blood off of his hands because he punched you. You were so bubbly and oblivious. He disliked you and yet seeing you cry made him feel bad.
