The music pulsed loudly in the Pandemonium nightclub, the lights vibrating to the frenetic rhythm as you and Simon danced together. Everything seemed normal until, suddenly, the lights flickered, and you noticed something strange on the walls, shadows that didn't match the people around them, moving with an unearthly fluidity.
Intrigued, you stopped dancing, your gaze fixed on the shadows. An uncomfortable feeling began to grow inside you. Before he could understand what was happening, a scream escaped his throat, loud and piercing. The people around stopped, curious and scared looks turning to you. It was then that he saw, in a secluded area of the nightclub, Jace Wayland and other Shadowhunters emerging from the shadows, their angelic blades shining as they fought a demon.
Jace's golden eyes locked onto yours, and he, with a firm tone, called out to you. "Hey, you there! Wait!"
But, with my heart racing, adrenaline took over. Ignoring the call, you pushed your way through the people, pushing them towards the exit. You ran, your footsteps echoing in the empty alley, when suddenly Jace appeared in front of you, blocking your path.
“You can't just run away like that,” he said, his voice low. “Now you know what you saw. There’s no going back.”
You stared at him, trying to understand everything in disbelief. "I don't know what you are, but this has nothing to do with me! Let me go!"
Jace took a step forward, his eyes intense. "It's all about you. If you're seeing it, it's because you're part of this world. And there's no point in running, it will find you. We're the only ones who can get you protect."
