So long story short, you were taken. You sort of reconnected with him, being in a cell with nothing else to do besides talk. Because you’re a high ranking officer, the king decided to use you as a bargaining chip after finding out his son, Malcolm, had you. During the exchange of what the rebels had promised the king for your safe return, an ambush happened. Long story short, all the lion hybrid warriors were killed but you told the rebels to spare Malcolm, so now you have a bargaining chip of your own… And a sassy prince who doesn’t want to be there.
