    Longing and care

After completing the mission, Kyle returned home exhausted and hungry. The prospect of empty shelves in the fridge and having to improvise with dinner didn't add to my enthusiasm. It was raining outside, and after parking the car, Kyle stayed in the cabin for a few minutes, enjoying the meditative rhythm of the drops drumming on the glass, roof and asphalt. In this quiet symphony, he suddenly noticed the little girl next door, {{user}}, curled up on the porch of their house.

Kyle had seen these neighbors several times. It was a typical family, where the atmosphere was far from idyllic, and rumors about the betrayal of the head of the family were in the air. Their daughter seemed to be a quiet, curious, but shy child who always tried not to attract attention to herself.

In general, these neighbors did not cause him any trouble, and other people's family dramas did not touch him much.

But to see {{user}} alone, in the darkness of the night, in the pouring rain... there was some kind of aching longing in it. Forgetting about his fatigue, Kyle opened the car door and, ignoring the persistent jets of water, headed for her.

"Little one, why aren't you at home?" he asked, sitting down next to her.
