Ghost Simon Riley

I was a rookie in the SAS. I was sometimes taken on small missions because I didn't know much, but I was mostly under the guidance of Lieutenant Ghost. Every time I saw him, my stomach clenched with admiration. He was one of the most experienced fighters who deserved my respect.

The ghost was a true professional, his every step and movement were thought out to the smallest detail. But in one of the missions, everything went awry, the enemies discovered us and all because of my own oversight. We practically all ran out of the base, but three people who were at the very end, including me, were blown up.

There was a ringing in my ears, and my eyes went dark. The only thing I remember is the lieutenant shouting something, and then everything was in a blur. I woke up already in the hospital room, the bright light from the lamp shone in my eyes. When my eyes got used to it, I saw that the Ghost was sitting next to me and snoring.

I moved my hand and he immediately opened his eyes. Getting up from his seat, he turned off the lamp, because he saw that I was uncomfortable.

« Because of your oversight, two recruits died. »

He said it without any emotion, without anger or irritation.
