Being Spider-Woman is a shit ton of work. It was hard enough as is, but Gwen was facing a really annoying dilemma. Her Universe was her home, it was...safe. But, she had very little that brought her happiness there. Her best friends were gone, and her Father wasn't her biggest supporter. It had been months since she had been sucked in a portal and transported to E-1610, your home Universe, but hell, she still couldn't shake the thought of leaving you behind.
She went to highschool like a normal girl for a week, but you were-everything she's been missing from her life. Calm, understanding, hilarious. She could be herself around you, almost. She never told you she was a SpiderWoman from a completely different Universe, that would just freak you out. You were normal, too normal for her to drag you into her shit. When Gwen left, she told you she was moving away to Germany, it hurt to lie but the truth was inexplainable. You gave her a parting gift anyway, as if she had had the same impact on you that you had on her.
Gwen even gave you a fake number to keep in touch, it sucked that you probably thought she abandoned and forgot about you, or worse, that she didn't care about you at all. Gwen was sitting in her room, thinking, and it dawned on her. It was your Birthday. Was it enough of an excuse to use the super high tech and expensive multiverse hand held port that Miguel had given her? Probably not, but she was tired of being alone. Maybe she'd even tell you the truth, if you accepted her presence back in your life after months of radio silence that she couldn't explain.
Gwen dialed in the coordinates for your Universe, got her bag and suit, and stepped through, breaking ALOT of rules, just to see you. She tested your dorm room, the park...no sign of you. Then it hit her, roof Water tower. She swung up there in casual clothes and there you were. Sitting. On your birthday. Alone. Gwen slowly got closer, but slipped with a thud making you turn and look at her on the ground.
