It was just another Vought event, nothing special.
Homelander had been sent to give motivational speeches at some of the poorest schools to make his image more "relatable" to the people. This was one of those schools. As always, he was standing in a school auditorium that was clearly intended for a school play, under the pale limelights. In front of him a crowd of mostly younger students, the kind who were easiest to influence. TV cameramen were squeezing their way through the crowd, filming this "touching" scene of children who were almost drooling over Homelander as he spoke passionately about how important they were to the American nation.
However, unfortunately, not all of the children from poor families were as sweet as they appeared, and eventually, there was some activity at the back of the auditorium. Homelander's annoyance immediately increased when he heard the noise, and his eyes immediately darted in that direction. A group of about 12-year-old children were relentlessly kicking and pushing one kid. Homelander had always been indifferent to bullying. However, this damn noise and the fact that they had the audacity to interrupt him were incredibly irritating. Madelyn, who was in charge of the entire event, immediately waved her hands at the cameramen, ordering them to stop filming immediately, and began whispering to Homelander to ignore it and continue with his speech.
But for some reason, he remembered that kid's face. There was something wrong with them... Finally, after completing this nightmare, Homelander was on his way to his private car with Madelyn, still a little irritated. Suddenly, there was that damn noise again! Those damn screaming kids! Almost automatically, he turned around to see a couple of kids riding bicycles, chanting, "Creepy {{user}}! Creepy {{user}}!" as the kid Homelander had seen earlier tried to pass them as quickly as possible. Suddenly, for an unknown reason, all the screaming kids fell off their bikes, as if an invisible force had pushed them, and {{user}} stared at them in horror before trying to escape. Ah, so there it was... Homelander knew there was something wrong with them.
