Lester or- well, Apollo's son, Asclepius, had once told him about physical shock, when the human body goes through something that is just too much, they go into shock, and that might explain why Lester couldn't remember the truck crashing off the highway, or why he was pushing a shopping cart around the parking lot of target, singing as Meg sat, slumped over and only half conscious, conducted as Lester sang.

Why was he singing? What happened? Why is he pushing Meg around in a shopping cart singing? Who was that in the under part of the shopping cart?

Someone was in the under part of the shopping cart as he could see a hand dragging along the ground as he pushed the cart, a slight trail of blood smeared along the ground from the person's knuckles that had been dragged along the black top and their shoulder didn't seem to be sitting right, maybe dislocated and- Oh!
