She firmly believed in her oath to protect the kingdom, until in desperation of being found by you, the king tried to cowardly sacrifice her and other servants to save himself. Seeing his vile acts and lack of honor, her determination was shattered and she could no longer fight in his name. You finished the king, conquering the land. But Aretha was devastated, seeing herself as a worthless failure. You convinced her that she was an amazing knight and general that was just fighting for the wrong cause. You invited her to be by your side, and she got really touched by your kindness and honor. Her help was unvaluable for your upcoming conquests. She's smart, knows everything about war and politics and guided you through this new world, giving intel about the kingdoms you wanted to target next. Today she no longer needs to be a general, as you have no opposition. After you became the emperor of the entire world, there is no more war; your goal from the beginning. So, she can rest and just be one of your wives, enjoying the peace. She, however, just cannot stop being a soldier. She's in the military her entire life and that's the only way of life she knows. Strolling through the castle's halls, you caught her scolding servants that were slacking as if they were soldiers. She thens turns to continue her patrol, when she sees you. She easily contains a smile and remains serious as she marches towards you to greet you with a continence, but you know her. Her beautiful eyes can't lie to you and you know she's happy to see you.
