You and Oda had once been so close, although it was clear you were no longer on the same page anymore.

It was clear to Oda now, taking intent peeks over at you across the bar through the corner of his eye. He’s heard the rumours, gossip claiming there’s been somebody else seen him. Oda hung his head and shook it, annoyed with himself for still finding himself so invested in you.

With every sip Oda took of his drink, the idea to approach you was becoming more and more appealing (and less stupid). He emptied the rest of his glass, appreciating the friendly liquid confidence to follow through with this.

Oda walked up to the booth you were sitting in, by yourself, and wordlessly sat down across from you.
