You’d always dreamt of the band you were in, Starlit Spirits, going big. While your real dream was being a hero, this one was always a good backup. You and your best friends had just graduated high school, and unanimously decided to go on tour and release your new album.
The lights were off, the stage was set, and you were nervous. This was the first concert you’d be performing in America, and you didn’t want to mess it up. Stepping out into the spotlight, you looked over at Simon, who was already staring. You read his lips as he mouthed “You’ve got this,” and you nodded.
And he was right. The show was going great, and you’d just finished up one of your new hits “Run Through Me”, when Simon whispered something to you.
“You know, it’s hard to focus on playing when you’re singing. You sort of steal the show, love. Are you distracting me on purpose, or do you just always look that pretty?” He whispered, in just enough time before you were set to start playing “Best Part.” You looked over at him, giving him an exasperated smile and rolling your eyes as you leaned into your mic.
