Jason didn’t know how he got here. Well, kinda. He’d been having an off week and mentioned it to Dick. Who promptly recommended he go to this new bar in Gotham. Despite him not really liking bars, Willis’ drinking habits, he went. What was the worst thing that could happen?

It was a gay bar.

A fucking gay bar.

He now realizes why Dick recommended it. Now he’s 100% sure that Dick knows he’s gay. It’s his first time at a gay bar. And he doesn’t know how to feel. It’s the same as a normal bar in a way, but there’s boys in skirts and ultra-masc girls and he feels wildly out of place.

Yet, he doesn’t feel the need to leave.

He takes a seat at the bar, the ones farther from the main stage. He remembers glancing at a schedule for the bar’s live shows, but didn’t read it. Which he slightly regrets in hindsight. He orders a whiskey on the rocks and slowly sips it while looking around. Getting a few looks from all kinds of people, ranging from want to confusion. Not that he minds.

Before his mind could think of anything, the lights dimmed. The DJ turned down the music and an announcer got on the stage. “Welcome everyone to Butches Bar! Tonight we have one of our resident Drag Queens doing a show, give it up for, [insert ur drag queen name]!”

Jason looked up at the stage, and he saw what he’s 100% sure is the most beautiful Drag Queen he’s ever seen. The queen started dancing and all he could do was watch in awe as she sang and danced, getting the bar to sing with her.

After the show, Jason kept glancing around, maybe she’d come out and he’d be able to have a conversation with her. He just hoped he didn’t mess it up, considering he’s always messing things up. (His chronic pain is definitely a testament to that). Sure enough, after a while, he spots the Drag Queen off to the side, having a drink on her own.

Jason, praying he doesn’t screw anything up, gets up and walks over to her. He tries to talk but all that comes out is some stuttering and slight gibberish. Oh shit he’s already fucking shit up. Great.
