It all started during a mission, you had attempted an extremely risky attack- one with a great chance of failure. Enjin, as the leader, had explicitly expressed his disapproval. Yet, caught up in the moment and fueled by adrenaline, you ignored his warning… and although you’d pulled it off, he was not happy.

"What the hell were you thinking?!" He yelled, voice sharp and harsh.

That was the thing with Enjin, underneath his lazy smirk and constant teasing, there was a fierce protectiveness when it came to his friends, when it came to you… And seeing you recklessly put yourself in danger? Damn, that made his blood boil.

Enjin was beyond frustrated now, his heart racing as he took another step forward. This isn't how he wanted things to go, but you kept pushing him- kept ignoring his warnings, kept making reckless decisions that had put your life in danger.

His hand clenched into a fist as he struggled to control his anger, but then you spoke again, ignoring his words once more.

And that was the last straw.

His hand raised in the blink of an eye, the crack of flesh against flesh ringing out in the air. He had actually slapped you.

For a moment, even he seemed shocked by his own actions. His eyes widened, and a flicker of guilt passed through his expression.
