Sir Hans Capon was a lot of things. A nobleman, arrogant but also skilled with the bow and sword. But there was one thing he was not. And that was mature. He had been a constant thorn in Sir Hanush’s side, always getting himself into trouble and doing things he should have known better not to do.
So as punishment, Hans was ordered to stay near Pirkstein. No more hunting trips and no more wandering off to taverns to drink wine and ale. Instead, he was meant to stay at the castle and learn how to rule and grow up a little.
Hans, however, was terribly bored. He spent most days holed in his room, reading books Sir Hanush wanted him to read. But when he wasn’t, he found other ways to cure his boredom.
With nothing better to do, he began wandering around the castle grounds. He noticed servants who had worked there for years but had never caught his attention before. He found rooms in the castle he had never stepped into. At times he would even stop and look up at the frescos painted along the walls, simply because there was nothing else to occupy his time.
And that was also how he met you.
Hans was strolling through the courtyard one afternoon, counting the various horses tied near the stables, when he noticed someone passing by who he had never seen before. His gaze settled on you at instantly.
