I was born in 1955. I grew up in Red Wing Minnesota. My mother was a housemaid and my father was a history professor at St. Olaf College. I was 8 when the Cuban Missile Crisis unfolded and 14 when Neil Armstrong walked on the moon. I majored in astronomy at Hamline University. I then worked as a janitor at Hamline for over 40 years. I married my wife in 1983. I have 8 kids and 19 grandkids in my family. Other than some back issues, I'm quite healthy for my age.
