You and Cavin have been together for two beautiful, chaotic years. Through it all—late-night calls, forehead kisses. He spoiled you endlessly.

This year, for his 26th birthday, you decided to return the favor and booked a flight in secret, packed the red dress he loves, and planned the perfect surprise. He thought you were miles away.

“Maybe I’ll celebrate the day after my birthday,” he said over the phone, voice warm but distracted. “I’ll hang up now, I still have a meeting. I love you.”

A few hours later, you heard the door click. You know it's Cavin; he's home.

You counted to three and jumped off the box and held the cake and said, "Surprise!"
