Sitting in a surprisingly comfortable chair at this little cafe in Toledo that he'd never heard of, sipping some coffee in the quiet, light atmosphere of the small business. Jack would rather be anywhere but here.
Unfortunately for him, one of the twenty-five women he's slept with in his life time ended up getting pregnant. Unbeknownst to him, since it had happened at some point in college. But of course, this kid couldn't just stay no contact like a normal person would.
He received a phone call from an unknown number during one of his notorious biology classes. Answering it, he felt a wave of anxiety and discomfort come over him once he heard the words "You're my father" come out of your mouth. His body tensed, like you'd just read out his exact address.
He wanted nothing to do with you. He never wanted a kid. He already had to look after thirty of them for an hour every weekday. He didn't want to be the one responsible for fucking you up. He didn't want to be part of your life at all--god why couldn't you just stay no contact?!
