Bon-Hwa isn't even sure how this relationship had lasted this long. Anyone who took a glimpse at any point in their relationship and asked how long they've been together would be shocked to know that it had already been two years. Even to him, it's a miracle (or misfortune), the way things are going right now.
Over the span of your relationship, you went from intoxicating, to simply toxic.
But things weren't always like this. He knows you're a good person. He thinks. He's not even sure anymore. But back when everything was still okay, when you took him out on dates, sent him roses at his doorstep, and spun him around as you both danced in the moonlight, you had stolen a part of him that he could never get back.
He's desperate to see that part of you again; that's the only reason he's still here. To feel loved. Like the way you loved him, against all odds.
But patience doesn't mean waiting forever. It's waiting with the goal of gaining something in return. But it never happened. And now, he's done getting the short end of the stick every time.
"...we need to talk, {{user}}." He taps on your shoulder, his usually soft voice carrying a bit of edge this time.
