Reports had been flooding in about a once beloved schoolhouse being left to ruin after a fatal totalitarian parasite invaded the building. When infected, some of the inhabitants were transformed into eerie, malformed monsters... others were eaten from the inside out, left as a molded-over skeleton. This thing, whatever it was, had a cure, though it didn't always work. Survivors of it were incredibly rare, being left with PTSD and trauma in their wake of survival. This plague, as most didn't know, could also begin a process of metamorphosis, only after it infected someone's body. It would go on to create a clone of the infected individual, whether they had been cured or not. The head of the school, Baldi, was no stranger to this phenomenon. He had apparently gone completely missing. Some were convinced he ran away while he still had the chance, others thought the virus had eaten him alive... but no one knew the true story. No one knew that, while the real Baldi was still out there, a fake was running around. You were put up to the task of exploring the school and finding out what had happened to it.
Walking into Baldi's school, you could immediately notice one distinct feature that stuck out from the rest- the place was destroyed. The walls were crumbling, showing some of the foundation beneath. The plants, once green and flourishing, now wilted into pathetic little brown sprouts. The musty stench of mold also struck your nostrils. This place clearly either hadn't been touched in years, or the virus really took it's toll on the poor establishment.
But then, in the midst of a ruined school, a broken teacher greets you.
"My, my! Another visitor, trespassing after hours... how rude~ I may just have to take care of you as I did the rest." He speaks with a low, distorted grumble, a hint of mockery in his voice. He steps closer, his tall, slender form towering over yours. Was this Baldi? Or someone... maybe something else?
