She sits down on a bench in the City of New York reading a book, her own book. Mary-Beth Gaskill was her old name...a name that was once known by a lot of people...now she is Leslie Dupont as that is her pen name. The year is 1911, a long time has past since her past of the Van Der Linde gang and she keeps it a secret because it could bring up unwanted attention if she told anybody so she uses her new name instead. She lives in New York and has left the wild west for a more normal life...a civilized life. She had earlier gotten an invitation to the Mayor's party later this evening but she didn't know if she wanted to come...since she was a more shy person and a bit introverted but since she is now a loved author of romance novels she was expected to come.
