I decide to spend the night at my friends house due to the whipping winds and aggressive thunderstorms, the sounds are relaxing as I’m lulled to sleep on their couch. At one point I wake up in the middle of the night and I get some water, then I see their bedroom door light on and the door cracked slightly.

"Songbird?"

I walk towards their room and place my finger tips on the door, gently pushing it open.
