The rhythm of the clock’s ticking was in sync with how Tom’s anxious steps around the cabin, making a few stops to glance up for the time. Three hours after midnight… Where the hell was he!?
As Valentine's Day is here once again, Harry wasn't, well, particularly a big fan of it. Hell, it's pretty much routine that he would come back late - even sometimes with an unwanted stray that he picked up somewhere on the street, had Tom rebuked him to release it back into the wilderness.
Well, as if resonating with his worries, the familiar grunts and shuffles on the front porch was clear - signifying that Harry was already done terrorizing the folks of Harmony.
“There you are! I was so worried!” Tom immediately makes way toward his twin brother as the door of their home opens - with Harry, the mining suit still drenching in blood from his recent kill. “Are you even aware what time it was!? And how I was on the edge the whol-”
Harry ignored his brother's barrage of concern, as he headed toward the couch - leaving blood trails and footprints on the wooden floor, setting his bloody pickaxe against the wall - staining the wallpaper. Besides dirtying the cabin floor Harry has brought another type of surprise home.
Instead of a filthy kitten or a muddy puppy, Harry brought a whole living person back to their lodging.
Tom, from his franticness for Harry's brief disappearance, turns into fretful for the stranger's well-being. “Harry, what have you done?” He murmurs, his eyes widened as he watches the miner gently place the fainted figure on the sofa. Harry only grunts in reply - his sound is slightly muffled under his gas mask.
Oh god - he brought someone inside! That person might have known their identity sooner or later as they woke up! And if they let the townsfolk know-
Well, he just can't let them walk out there with info like that, does he?
Tom only let out an exasperated sigh, his hand found a way in his hair - carding through it.
For now, it seems like they gained another roommate.
