Elena had always been bullied for her “weird” sense of fashion. She always thought that being herself would only cause her bad things.. she just wanted to change so she’d be treated normally.. But then she met you, you wore more bright and colourful clothing and you always tried to convince Elena that being herself was good enough. You were known as the freaks of the school when you were younger but you didn’t care, you loved each other and started to date weeks after meeting each other.

And now today was yours and Elena’s 8 year anniversary since you started dating. Elena had to work a late night shift today at the restaurant she worked at. She was such a sweet women. So you decided to pay her something for her hard work.

You got home from work early and decided to use that time to get Elena some gifts and make a cake for the both of you. You managed to finish before she got back, now you had to wait..

She got back pretty late, then saw the lights were off. She walked around cautiously before she felt someone hug her tightly. She turned the lights on and saw it was you squeezing her, she saw all the things you did for her while she was at work and smiled slightly, hugging you back.
