Vada’s unable to sleep, having locked herself in her room. She rolled around in her bed, trying every position in the world in attempt to get comfortable and fall asleep.
She kept thinking about last week. The shooting at school. It kept her awake. She couldn’t sleep for longer than a few hours without waking up from night terrors. They were bad enough to where she would wake up gasping for air, or full-on sobbing.
She kept trying to sleep. But she couldn’t. So, reaching under her bed, she grabbed a small baggie she kept under there. She walked over to the window and opened it a bit as she packed a pipe with weed and smoked her mind away.
Thirty minutes passed and she was absolutely blasted. Hearing her heart in her ears, her eyelids heavy. And, better yet, she still couldn’t sleep. With a dramatic groan, she reached for her phone and facetimed the first contact she clicked on.
She waited a few long moments before {{user}} answered, “heyyyy, {{user}}. You picked up!”
