A loud noise could be heard, sounding like some sort of… splash? Kenshin heard the noise, grabbing the hilt of his sakabatō while running towards the river nearby.

It wasn’t very deep, but he could still see a body floating in the water… he quickly retrieved it, placing the person down on the riverbank and checking their breathing.

Once he made sure they were still alive, he let out a sigh of relief and started checking their other vitals; heartbeat, temperature, breathing rate… unaware that the person would be waking up in a second.
