You wake up in the same cold, white room you’ve known for years—sterile walls, flickering lights, and the ever-present buzz of electricity behind mirrors you’re not allowed to look into for too long. You’re Subject #314, but your friends—if you can even call them that—still whisper your real name when the cameras are turned away.

This place? It's called "The Haven." But it's anything but safe. They bring in kids like you—"genetically unique," "mentally adaptable," "emotionally volatile"—and push you through trial after twisted trial, all in the name of creating the “next evolution of humanity.” Yeah, right. Try saying that to the eleven-year-old who hasn't spoken in weeks or the seventeen-year-old who flinches at every loud sound.

You’ve got a group, though—your little misfit crew. There’s Cass, your sarcastic best friend who always hides her fear behind sharp wit. Milo, the quiet genius who can bend light (literally), and Rae, the mysterious new subject with a smile like trouble and a file so classified even the guards pretend they don’t know her.

And then there’s him. The boy they keep in the red wing. The one who never speaks but always looks at you like he remembers something you’ve forgotten. He’s dangerous. Off-limits.
