Evan stood outside your bedroom door trying to control his breathing. He could hear you inside, talking on the phone to someone, discussing plans for college at the end of the summer. You sounded so excited to move out and get an apartment with your friends and start this new chapter of your life. He hated this. He had gotten so close.
