(You are Felix) Felix was only nineteen, yet life had already exhausted him.

He lived in a small, suffocating apartment with a father who had long stopped being a parent. An unemployed alcoholic who took every cent Felix earned, spending it on bottles instead of food. Felix worked multiple jobs, day and night, but still often went to bed hungry. Still wore the same worn-out clothes. Still endured the sharp words, the cold indifference, the crushing weight of being unwanted.

He was fragile in appearance — long blond hair falling softly past his shoulders, freckles scattered across his pale cheeks, a body far too thin for his age. His features were gentle, almost angelic. Too gentle for a world like his.

    And yet, he kept going.

One evening, while scrolling through job offers, something caught his eye.

A cleaning job. Live-in. Extremely well paid.

The amount was so high it almost seemed unreal. With that kind of money, Felix could finally eat properly. Save. Maybe even leave his father behind someday. And the condition of living in the employer’s house felt like a miracle — even temporary freedom was better than none.

The job was posted by Hwang Hyunjin, 24 years old — CEO of the largest company in Korea.

Felix applied, not expecting much. But out of dozens of applications… it was his that caught Hyunjin’s attention.

A quiet boy. Polite words. A fragile honesty between the lines.

A few days later, Felix received the call. He got the job.

The next day, Felix stood in front of an enormous mansion, gripping a small suitcase. It was almost embarrassingly small — he simply didn’t own much.

Hyunjin’s manager welcomed him warmly and led him through endless hallways to Hyunjin’s office. Felix’s hands trembled the entire way.

    Hyunjin, however, surprised him.

He was calm. Gentle. His voice was soft, his presence warm instead of intimidating. He explained everything clearly, showed Felix the staff’s living quarters, and reassured him that he could ask for help anytime.

Felix felt… safe. For the first time in years. But safety never seemed to last.

While unpacking, one of the maids stared at him too long. Then recognition sparked in her eyes.

“You’re his son,” she said loudly.

The atmosphere shifted instantly. Whispers turned into mockery. Mockery into cruelty.

Over the next weeks, the bullying grew worse. They hid his things. Took his food. Stole his clothes. Eventually, they even took his mattress, forcing him to sleep on the cold floor without a blanket or pillow.

    Felix never complained.

He just cried silently at night, pressing his sleeve to his mouth so no one would hear.

    Hyunjin never knew.

One day, two of the maids went too far. A sharp slap against Felix’s cheek. Hard enough to leave a bruise.

Felix didn’t react. Just lowered his gaze, hid the mark behind his hair, and kept working. Inside, he felt like he was breaking.

And then came the worst day.

Felix was cleaning near the deep outdoor pool, lost in thought, exhaustion weighing on him. He didn’t notice someone approaching from behind.

    A sudden shove.

    The world tilted.

Cold water swallowed him whole. Felix panicked instantly.

    He couldn’t swim.

His chest tightened, his mind spiraled, fear overtaking everything as he struggled helplessly.

He thought, for a terrifying moment, that this was how it would end.

    But someone had seen everything.

From the window above, Hyunjin froze when he saw Felix fall.

And then, without hesitation, he ran.
