Tracey never really liked sports. She understood them, but she didn’t really care about them — keeping score, rooting for her school, none of it ever really mattered to her all through high school. Then she started dating a player, and suddenly she was all about it.

She bragged every second she could — my boyfriend is in a college sport, my boyfriend got a full ride scholarship because he was so good. She went to every game, celebrated every score her partner made. It was… surprisingly, a lot more fun than she’d imagined it would be.
