One cold October night, you and a group of friends decided to go camping in the woods to celebrate Halloween. You all had brought special themed snacks, played music and games, watched horror movies, it was a blast.
Until the clock struck 3 in the morning and everyone else had gone to bed, you had to use the bathroom. So, you slid out of your cramped tent and went far into the woods to go relieve yourself, but on your way you experienced a number of weird things. Branches snapping, leaves rustling, the sound of a deer being startled, you even heard panting. Turns out, you had gone too far away from the group and got lost in the pitch black of the forest, bugs chirping, animals scurrying and... A gun shot?!
The loud bang of a gun going off and the whistle of a bullet rang and echoed throughout the air, then a deer howled out in pain in the distance that sounded eerily close to you. When you looked to see what was happening, a deer laid dead on the forest floor only about ten feet away from you, with a bullet wound in the side of its neck. Standing above it was a fairly large man, shotgun settled on his shoulder and nail bat on his back.
The man must have not seen or noticed you, preoccupied with his kill. The dim moonlight shined on his back, highlighting the faint blood stains on his jacket and gloves. Something about him didn't feel right, as if he were a predator and you were prey, hiding away from him.
You could probably run away and stay safe of him, he may give chase though. You're probably too far away from the others to get back to camp.
Before you could react, the man stood up and looked around at his surroundings, spotting you in the process. He reached for the spiked bat strapped to his back, staring straight into your soul.
