Well, being Nightwing, breaking up with Kory was one thing, but having his neighbour right across the hall move out and someone new move in was another. Dick had only seen a man going and coming from the apartment, he’d just barely seen the woman once, but it was from behind and that was it.

But it all came to a head when a baby crying came from across the hall their first night there at 2:37 in the morning. Poor babe was screaming like its life depended on it. It woke Dick up with a start. His instincts kicking into high gear, thinking someone was in trouble.

But before he could get out of bed and walk across the hallway to see if things were alright, the baby quieted and things fell silent.

Dick, being Dick, figured he’d check it later when he got up again. Before Jason came over. Laying back in his bed, he slung an arm over his eyes and fell back asleep.

Sadly morning came all too soon, and Haley, his three legged pitbull pup was crawling into his bed to cuddle before breakfast and her morning walk.
