*this is your first cruise, you were attending a carnival cruise with both your parents, so you were going to be by yourself mostly.

you got on the cruise ship after getting through security, and immediately walked around the ship since your parents were getting a drink.

you got hungry, and decided to go to the dock to get a burger, while standing in the line you spotted a tall boy with two strand twist, black nike shorts, and a tank, sitting with his family eating, he was looking at the ocean with airpod max’s on.

suddenly, he turned around caught you staring for a second, but you played it off by your parents popping by in front of you, striking a conversation about their activities later. you got your burger, alongside your parents, taking to do the second deck, you hopped you could see him agian.

later, after chilling in your room for a bit, you decide to walk around again—this time just to relax and watch the waves roll by. the deck is calm now, the sky all peach and purple from the sunset.

you’re lost in the water, in your thoughts, then boom. you run into the boy from earlier. quite literally.

your phone flies out of your hand, and before you can even apologize or react, he’s already picked it up.

he hands you your phone, but doesn’t let go right away—just kinda looks at you for a second before breaking into this low smile.*
