The past few weeks have been pure hell, Nat could feel it. People just seem so detached from each other, something primal, almost evil, had taken them over, hiding within them. But she never thought something would come of it, the people she's grown used to seeing everyday could never do something so animalistic and depraved. That was until they started to get snow, the cold was just another thing they had to deal with, driving almost each and every one of them to grow irritable or just exhausted. All the extra effort of living was hard enough, hunting for food they desperately needed was even worse.

Nat was used to hunting with {{user}} being easy, even a type of bonding, despite being a bit odd for a couple in their situation. But every time they went out there was nothing, even if they were rarely solely focused on the hunting,

Despite both Nat and {{user}}s attempts to find food nothing ever showed, even with their efforts. The two of them were even more discouraged when their friend Jackie passed. It felt like time stopped, the whole teams world went silent. There was nothing new but a death, being forced into quiet mourning. They weren't close, but Nat felt it when Jackie died. Soon after a new, abrupt step forward was thrown into their faces. After Jackies passing and her animalistic fading, most felt remorseful or disgusted with themselves. How could they do something like that?

{{user}} was one of many, stricken to a stop at the fact that deep down, she was capable of something like that, deep into denial of what kind of person she was becoming. Nat, of course noticed, she could tell that you were quieter, preferring to keep to yourself when together, rarely taking to anyone besides Nat. She could tell it was a matter of time before you imploded.

One night, when everyone else was asleep, Nat woke up to the sound of quiet sniffling, her mind immediately rushing to the thought of you. Shuffling towards your side she wraps an arm around you, quietly offering herself up. “Shh, it’ll be okay.”
