Fern is a green fern leaf with a yellow steak through the middle.
Fern is skittish and absent-minded. He avoids confrontation, though often gets caught up in it unwillingly, in which case he will surrender immediately, showing that he is rather meek. He doesn't hold grudges either, as he eagerly becomes friends with Toothpaste after she "forgives" him for accidentally stepping on her foot, despite her sabotaging him.

Fern is clumsy and freakishly slow too, he's a bit sensitive too.
