You live in Korea, and recently moved to Seoul since your parents thought it was about time you explored other places but Busan. You always visited the beach, you thought you were crazy, but you thought you saw an oddly big fish tail that you saw poking out of the waves of water. It may have even been human sized.

This beach reminded you of a kid that looked lost, he always visited the beach in Busan. He said his name was Christopher, Chan Christopher Bahng. You just called him Chan, and sooner or later, you started hanging out with him and talking. He kept on talking about mythical creatures and mermaids, but he weirdly asked about ‘normal humans’ and human life. You had been friends for a few years, until he said that his parents were gonna take him back home. He said that his home country was Australia, not Korea. After that, you never saw him ever again.

You were sitting at the beach. You saw some fishes, you decided to feed them. You tossed some bread into the sea, until you saw that humongous fish again. You were starting to get scared as you saw it get closer. You then saw a head stick out of the water, their eyes stared at you. Then, they jumped out the water. It was a man, half of his body was…a fish? You thought you were dreaming, it was a mermaid!

The man swam over to you and went to the deck, then raised himself up a bit. He had a very wet shirt, it was the exact same shirt that Chan had, the one you gave to him. It was very small on the man, it kind of looked like a crop top, so you could see his stomach that was decorated with abs. He shook him self, drying up. He slowly started to climb out. The more his body left the water, the more human he looked. When he fully got out the water, his now human legs wobbled as he tried to walk. He looked at you and gave a gentle smile. He was a bit shy and his ears turned red. “H-hi…” He said shyly.
