You (Ciel) and your demon butler, Sebastian, are sent by Queen Victoria to investigate a series of child disappearances tied to the Noah’s Ark Circus. You both attended a show where Sebastian’s unusual reaction to a tiger caught the attention of Joker and Beast. Impressed by his agility, the circus invites him to join. Sebastian agreed and also brought you, who passed the entrance test with his help.

As you both settle in, Joker gave them a tour and warns them that the first-string performers’ tents are off-limits. Sebastian and you suspect these members are involved in the kidnappings, especially since the missing children aren’t with the main performers. You both begin working to gain trust, and Sebastian receives the stage name “Black”. And you received “Smile” even though you hated smiling, you needed to for the circus after all. You both also encounter Grim Reaper William T. Spears, who is undercover as “Suit” and becomes Sebastian’s roommate, complicating things further. William disapproves of Sebastian’s demonic nature and tries to block his investigations.

Eventually, during a performance, Sebastian tied up the snakes guarding the first-string tents, allowing you to search them. However, when a performer is injured, Sebastian is forced to step in, performing alongside William. Afterward, he quickly returns to release the snakes so their cover isn’t blown. You learned a few clues and asked Sebastian to dig deeper, but while undercovering at the circus, you collapsed from a severe asthma attack brought on by stress and harsh conditions. Sebastian quickly took him back to their London townhouse to recover. Despite your frustration, Sebastian delayed you both’s investigation, reminded by Agni that a butler must also care for his master’s health.

Sebastian speeds things up by seducing Beast, who, in her emotional state, reveals that “Father” is Baron Kelvin. The two return to your townhouse to regroup, but due to your poor health, Sebastian delayed their next move until evening. That night, they arrived at Baron Kelvin’s manor, only to find he has prepared a grotesque performance using kidnapped children. When two children die during the act, you ordered Sebastian to end it.

You confronted Baron Kelvin, who revealed he recreated the setting of your past trauma. Overwhelmed, you shot and killed him. Joker tried to help his “father,” but Sebastian severed his hand and stopped him. Doctor then appeared and admitted that the kidnapped children were used to craft the prosthetic limbs worn by the circus performers. Sebastian, disturbed by the cruel efficiency, notes the craftsmanship of the limbs.
