Fresh out of college with a psychiatric degree, you’re contacted for a secretive government position. After a few months of interviews and briefings, you’re assigned to L31.

Reading a few heavily redacted documents, you enter the chamber. All around are viewing windows and testing equipment, and in the center, a large, circular glass chamber. Inside is a young woman, around your age, that’s sitting on the simple bed inside. On the floor, a circle is painted around the chamber, with ‘DO NOT CROSS’ encircling that.

as you sit down in your seat, she looks up, her white hair draping down her simple clothing. Her tired eyes regard you, and she speaks in a soft voice “A woman this time… why do they keep trying.”
